Manage Policies

MaaS360 Control Service allows you to monitor Anti-Virus, Personal Firewall and Data Encryption security applications via policies that you define, and to specify actions to be taken when one of these applications is out of compliance.

Manage Policies

80% of IT decision-makers within the education industry have already implemented, or are planning to implement, mobile device management solutions...

- Forrester Consulting

You can change the policies at any time using the Manage Policies feature in the MaaS360 Management Center. It may take up to 1 hour for MaaS360 to process the changes and make the policy updates available. The updates will be automatically downloaded and applied to the device the next time it is online.

The updated policy changes will automatically be available to all your devices that are using the MaaS360 Control Service.

MANAGE POLICIES

The Manage Policies screen lets you define policy settings that allow:

  • Security Application Monitoring
  • Restricted Application Monitoring

MONITORING SECURITY APPLICATIONS

Policies allow you to define the action to be taken if applications are not running or not installed. MaaS360 Control Service can:

  • Display a warning indicator and message
  • Disconnect users from the VPN tunnel, if they are connected at the time of a policy violation

RESTRICTING TYPES OF APPLICATIONS

Policies also allow you to define which types of applications (such as games) should not be allowed to run on a device.
