Fiberlink Named One of Greater Philadelphia's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 Program

Extend360? Mobility Software Propels Fiberlink's Revenue Growth

BLUE BELL, Pa., October 26, 2006 – Fiberlink Communications Corp., the trusted expert for simple, secure mobile working, has been named to Deloitte’s prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Greater Philadelphia for the fourth time consecutively. The 50 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences companies in the Philadelphia area are ranked based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2001–2005 by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations. Fiberlink’s increase in revenues of 168 percent from 2001 to 2005 resulted in a 30 ranking in the Technology Fast 50 for Greater Philadelphia.

“Deloitte’s Greater Philadelphia Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision and tenacity to succeed in today’s very competitive technology environment,” said Michael J. Purcell, leader of the Greater Philadelphia Marketplace Technology, Media, and Telecommunications practice for Deloitte & Touche LLP. “We applaud the successes of Fiberlink and acknowledge it as one of the very few to accomplish such a fast growth rate over the past five years.”

Over the past five years, there has been tremendous growth in the technologies and businesses that comprise the mobile computing industry.  During that time, Fiberlink has shifted its business from pure-play connectivity to leveraged software that controls the complexity of mobile computing.  The company’s Extend360™ mobility software provides mobile workers with simple and secure connectivity to business-critical resources while working away from the office.

“Fiberlink’s inclusion in the Deloitte Fast 50 is the result of strong demands for our mobility management software, Extend360. In today’s professional culture, every employee is a mobile employee, and companies look to Fiberlink to make it easy for them to connect to the corporate network while keeping the network secure,” said Fiberlink President Edward J. McCrossen. “Our success is largely due to our hardworking and responsive team that has keen foresight into the security and connectivity needs of mobile workers.”

The Greater Philadelphia Technology Fast 50 program is presented by Deloitte and sponsored by The Judge Group and Geller & Company. To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2001 and $5,000,000 in 2005, be headquartered in North America, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies’ technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.
