Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Employees are bringing their own iPhones, iPads and Androids to work at an unprecedented rate. To the disappointment of many, there is no one-size-fits-all method to address end-user privacy and network security concerns. Use this forum to discuss how you’ll beat devices to the door with a well-founded BYOD policy.

I have random user devices (Androids) that will enroll, and be randomly missing Corporate Settings....which therefore means MaaS doesn't set up their corporate email. Anyone experienced this? Workarounds? Fixes?

As the rising tide of mobility reaches enterprise shores, IT is rushing to keep its mobile users productive and corporate data secure underneath one umbrella. With a proper device and app management solution in place, it's possible to keep a watchful eye on your mobile environment and intervene only when necessary. However, without someone to survey the scene, there's no sure way to shape the right mobile strategy for all your users.

Achieving Multi-Platform Support in the BYOD Era - APAC Webinar - February 21, 2013

While Apple and Google battle to become the world's most preferred mobile platform, MS Surface has already made its presence known in BYOD-friendly work environments. Time will tell whether last month's BlackBerry 10 release will be enough to rethrone the former king of the mobile enterprise. No matter who comes out on top, IT must prepare for the whole lot, as Gartner, Inc. predicts 1.2 billion smart devices will be purchased in the year ahead.

BYOD and the Retail Sales Setting

    25 July 2012

I've seen the BYOD concept really coming about particularly in regards to sales people. Mobile devices seem to be the best fit for these individuals. Obviously the majority of sales people are always on the go, and the bring your own device phenomenon has allowed them to be productive on the road. Individuals seem to be more comfortable with their own device, and they can put the apps they most desire on the device to be as productive as possible.
