Patch Management

MaaS360’s Patch Management Service provides centralized reporting and the ability to remotely push and install Microsoft OS security patches to endpoints, without any end-user interaction.

MaaS360 Patch Management Service reduces the risk of endpoint exposure across multiple Windows operating systems. The Service decreases operational costs of managing and deploying Microsoft operating system patches, while keeping IT departments in control by enabling admins to schedule patch distributions via MaaS360. Patch Management ensures that your system is always up to date, on or off the corporate LAN, with the latest security releases quickly and conveniently deployed.  Robust, interactive reporting provides visibility, control and analytics to ensure patch installation and status aware.

MaaS360’s Patch Management solution adds value by providing centralized reporting. It also reduces the risk of breaches caused by operating system vulnerabilities that were previously not addressed in off-LAN devices.

How it works:

  • Patch Management Service automatically inspects, discovers and collects data on patches for multiple operating systems (Windows 2K/XP/Vista/W7).
  • Patch Management Service improves security by identifying and remediating corrupt patch installations.
  • Patch Management Service automatically transports information to the MaaS360 platform for BI integration.
  • Customers can dictate whether patches are to be distributed to test groups or globally.
  • Customer schedules and executes the distribution and installation through a highly available, geographically diverse infrastructure.
  • No hardware or appliances are required at the customer site.
  • Patch Management Service integrates with MaaS360’s Control Service to provide protection via Mobile NAC integration.

MaaS360's Patch Management Service automates the distribution and installation of Microsoft operating system security patches.

Microsoft patches are collected and tested by Fiberlink, and are then distributed by MaaS360 based on customer schedule, and automatically installed on mobile laptops and remote PCs, on or off-LAN.

This service helps stop hackers from exploiting Windows vulnerabilities, and relieves system administrators from the tedious and time-consuming task of applying operating system patches.
