High-speed cellular data networks provide the ultimate in mobile connectivity. Mobile employees can enjoy the same freedom of movement they have with cell phones, and still connect to the Internet and to corporate networks with excellent performance.

Fiberlink’s Mobile Wireless service provides network access through cellular networks in over 50 countries. Mobile employees enjoy a fast, simple connectivity experience. Administrators benefit from simple management and excellent cost reporting. And Since Fiberlink integrates security with connectivity, enterprise data can be protected on the laptops and across networks.

Wide Coverage and Device Options

Fiberlink’s Mobile Wireless service provides network access in over 55 countries through leading cellular service providers. The service works with advanced network types including CDMA 1x, EV-DO, GPRS, EDGE, and UMTS, including the latest HSPA & EV-DO Rev. A standards.

Fiberlink supports over 75 popular mobile networking cards and devices in several form factors, including PCMCIA and USB devices and embedded devices.  In addition, the Mobile Service provides a generic connections manager feature to facilitate the connection process over any mobile data device.

Fiberlink’s Mobile Service also includes tethering support for many of the leading handheld devices in the market, including Blackberry, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Ericsson and more.

Simple User Experience

Fiberlink makes connecting with mobile wireless networks easy and reliable for mobile employees. Fiberlink’s MaaS360 software detects cellular data networks within range and measures the strength of their signal.  The MaaS360 software automatically launches VPN clients, establishes connections, forwards employee authentication credentials, and takes other steps defined by the system administrator.

It also includes a user interface that shows how connections are progressing, from the initial click to the connection with the corporate network. Real-time indicators show the status of network connection and indicate whether devices are in compliance with corporate security policies.

Reduced Testing and Management

With Fiberlink’s Mobile Wireless service, administrators no longer need to evaluate and test cellular data networking cards, software and service providers.

Organizations receive a single monthly bill, making it easier to track and compare costs across connectivity service providers. Fiberlink’s reports allow administrators to allocate usage costs by departments, and monitor how long and how well users are connecting.

In addition, Fiberlink can manage much of the mobile wireless infrastructure for customers, including provisioning wireless networking cards and managing Radius servers for authentication.

Built-in Security

Communication over shared wireless networks is inherently unsecure. But Fiberlink’s MaaS360 Mobility Platform™ can protect network traffic over cellular networks by:

•  Enforcing the use of virtual private networks (VPNs)
•  Ensuring that VPN clients are installed, running, and up to date
•  Encrypting network authentication credentials sent over these networks.

You can also protect laptops and the data residing on them from hackers, viruses, spyware, loss and theft, and many other security threats with Fiberlink Security Services.
