Fiberlink Communications Named to Software Magazine's 26th Annual Software 500BLUE BELL, Pa., Nov. 17, 2008 – Fiberlink Communications Corporation, the trusted provider of mobility as a service solutions that simplify mobile operations management, today announced its inclusion in the Software Magazine’s Software 500 26th annual ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers. Fiberlink provides enterprises with a single platform to cost-effectively manage all the elements of its growing mobile operations regardless of where the users, devices, or data are located or connected. The company’s cloud-based platform for mobile operations management is called mobility as a service, or MaaS360™. Ranked 297, Fiberlink Communications has experienced a 21 percent revenue increase in software and services since 2006. “We are honored to be recognized for our accomplishments in software revenue growth. Over the past four years, we have been intensely focused on extending our product portfolio to a comprehensive software as a service platform designed to help companies manage the challenges that enterprise mobility presents,” said Ed McCrossen, president of Fiberlink Communications. “Fiberlink’s cloud-based platform moves IT management and control from behind the corporate firewall and extends it out to the perimeter where the majority of users are today. Our SaaS delivery model helps to lower costs by eliminating upfront capital investments and on-going maintenance expenses and speeding time-to-value by turning complex mobile deployments into cloud provided services.” “The 2008 Software 500 results show that revenue growth in the software and services industry was healthy, with total Software 500 revenue of $451.8 billion worldwide for 2007 representing 14.7 percent growth from the previous year,” says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. “The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff create the short list of business partners. It is a quick reference of vendor viability making it what we call the online catalog to enterprise software.” The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. Rankings are based on software and services revenue for 2007. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents.
